President
In 2002, desiring to replace highly processed, oxidized flour products with an infusion of organic, freshly milled, whole grain options, Catherine Matthews founded RAW, LLC.
Cathy gathers, organizes and directs the use of any and all information that can advance the company’s success in all areas of operations. She also coordinates all aspects of operations: R&D, manufacturing, production, distribution, sales and customer service.
Lowdown :: A reformed junk food junkie, Cathy began her interest in the health food sector after the birth of her twins in 1995. Desiring to overcome some health issues and optimally nourish her children, she began seeing a nutritionist who coached and trained her in the benefits of an organic, “clean” diet for two years. Cathy began grinding grains and baking breads after learning about the nutritional benefits of freshly milled flour. Desiring the convenience of frozen dough, she extensively tested recipes and talked with food scientists at various universities. The rest, as they say, is history.
Education :: Cathy earned a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Texas and an M.A. in Counseling after moving to Denver.
